"YOU'LL SOUND-OFF WITH LAUGHS WHEN YOU MEET..."
During the Korean War, Captain Burke at Camp Carver Army Base scolds brawny Sergeant William Ames for assaulting Sergeant Dorian "Dodo" Doubleday. Due to Doubleday's photographic memory, he dominates every conceivable subject and that irritates Ames. Later, during a military exercise, Ames is annoyed by Doubleday again. After being admonished by him, Ames hears Doubleday's voice in his sleep that night. Ames then runs to Captain Burke and begs him to be transferred. Burke reluctantly agrees and Ames goes with him to Korea. Ames now feels happy, despite the extremely dangerous mission.
