"It's lonely at the middle."

The days of great fame are over for 72-year-old Buddy Young junior. In the 1960s a great comedian with his own TV show, but nowadays only performing for a handful of elderly people who still know him from his heyday. When his brother Stan, who has been his manager all these years, decides to retire, Buddy is left on his own.
