Alix is a 27-year-old woman in search of the one thing she cannot do: love. After a series of friends who pass her on to each other, she ends up in the hands of the pimp Raphaël, who works in Rome and Saint-Ouen. He sells her to a Pole. He rapes her and leaves her for dead. She is found by Frédéric, whose love has been rejected time and again after breaking up with his wife, and Hélène, a young girl who takes care of her comatose mother. Alix and Frédéric start a relationship.
