Jackass always starts with Corono from a Minutemen, a punk band with a lot of songs of a minute or less. This Jackass reminded me of that sometimes, there are so many stunts and ideas in it that sometimes only last a few seconds, as far as ideas are concerned, this is very rich. Not everything is equally fun, certainly not 90 minutes in a row, but as a whole it is sufficient because I have laughed often enough and enjoyed myself quite a bit. But 60 minutes is enough.

Well... now I do feel old. And that has nothing to do with the year in which this film was released or something like that. I would like to point out that I have apparently outgrown this humor a bit. I have to add that I have never really been a fan of it though. I saw the first movie for the first time in 2009 and it looks like I gave that movie a 3 star rating. I can't remember watching it many times after that.

But I do remember that I still laughed about it regularly. That was hardly the case in this second part. There's a few decent scenes in there (especially when it comes to physical stunts), but most of it I either just didn't like or thought was too gross for words. With the latter I mainly think of breathing in a fart, the turd or wearing a sticky beard consisting of pubic hair. I can have underwear fun at times, but Jackass Number Two is just not my humor. Maybe it doesn't help that Johnny and his comrades themselves treat every little thing as the most hilarious joke of all time. If you ask me which joke I did enjoy, I must admit I can't think of any. It's amazing how quickly I forgot about this movie.

That said, I was able to watch the movie quite easily. Somehow this still works in such a way that you are curious about what the next fragment will bring about, so this is good to sit out just out of curiosity.

2*

And loose with Jackass 2, exactly one week after part 1. In this case, I also took it from the collection and this vmbo'r enjoyed watching it again, although it is already a bit less than the first film.

The Gang is complete again and in for some crazy shit as it turns out. And they still have some great jokes I must say. The 'Dickfarm' is nice although it also goes to the edge again. The minibike looping is fun, the gauntlet is very nice and the Toro Trotter. The taxi terrorist is the best but let's be honest this is hardly a Jackass stunt anymore and looks more like Banana Split, nevertheless this is set up very well.

But in this Jackass we also get to see that it all goes a bit further, it's a bit dirtier, grosser and more sadistic than last time and without this adding anything. Things like England's shit again only dirtier, the fishhook through the cheek and Beehive Limo are all examples of that. And I don't like Spike Jonze as an old woman and Knoxville as a dirty grandpa either, although that's more a matter of taste. Moreover, we probably already see a glimpse of Bam as he would later become with his own series, in other words, a sadist and vandalist.

Part 2 is fun, has some very successful jokes, but also shows that the new stuff is gone and that surpassing the previous work apparently only succeeds with nastier, meaner, grosser, more painful and so on...it'll just your group of friends to be.
