Telemachus, a poor 50-year-old actor with a glorious past, flees Athens to escape his creditors. He travels to the heart of historic Messinia and finds refuge in Polypylon, a dilapidated castle that was once bustling with activity. The castle now stands empty, with the exception of two residents, the brothers Euhemerus and Myron.
