Il Carabiniere a Cavallo plot
Francesco, one of the best horsemen in the Carabinieri, is transferred so that he decides to marry Letizia in secret instead of waiting another four years for his task to be completed. The day before the wedding, Francesco ends an argument between two gypsies, but in the meantime his horse has disappeared. Instead of reporting the theft, he goes looking for the beast himself. He goes to a racetrack, to the slaughterhouse, to a blacksmith... to no avail. Francesco leaves for Bolsena where the gypsy tribes have all gathered for a ceremony. He manages to convince the members of the local music corps to march through the streets playing the March of Carabinieri. And then he sees his horse again. He promises his wife that he will find a way to prevent his horse from being stolen.
