Il Cappotto di Astrakan plot

An Italian provincial goes on vacation to Paris in hopes of some naughty adventures. He resembles a jewel thief who is in prison and is taken in by his wife. He identifies completely with his model, so that in addition to the woman, he also makes his mistress and a chic winter coat his own. When the jewel thief returns, it becomes clear what a faded copy the provincial really is.
