Heart Condition plot
"A tough cop. A dead lawyer. Every partnership has its problems."
Jack Moony (Hoskins), a somewhat racist white police officer, has problems with black lawyer Napoleon Stone (Washington), because he represents the interests of dealers. Stone is then shot and Moony has a heart attack. To his horror, he has received the heart of Stone, who now lives with him like a kind of ghost. In addition, Stone wants Moony to track down the culprits of his death.

Sometimes a review is good and sometimes it's bad. This one was bad, even though I had already given it 2.5 stars, I would almost be inclined to take off another half star.
Bob Hoskins overacts like a charm and Washington is also far from convincing, add to that the plot is not at all captivating, sometimes I wondered what Jack was so worried about (especially that ex-girlfriend) it's all just too confusing and boring.
The racism theme is also added in a very forced way.
It's nice how Jack's police chief flawlessly exposes how hypocritical and racist he himself is towards white people.
In fact, you can see very clearly in this film how racism as a political theme gradually began to take on increasingly nasty political features.
