Ein Lord am Alexanderplatz plot
As he approaches sixty, Ewald Honig finally wants to enjoy the autumn of his life. All that time he didn't exactly have to work himself to death, because as a marriage swindler one has to meet completely different "professional" requirements. It is true that Ewald only has three marks fifty as a nest egg - in the free West there simply was no pension for marriage swindlers - but for a cup of coffee on Alexanderplatz it is just enough. Furthermore, in case the need is high, he has also once taken on the "burden" of children. Unfortunately, his sweet daughter lives in East Berlin. Meanwhile, Ina plays her normless, but very profitable game with older gentlemen. Ewald also rediscovers his pleasure in his old 'craft'. Everything could have been so perfect, if Hungarian detective Johanna Farkas and criminologist Dr. Achim Engelhardt was not chasing them.
