Wonderful tragi-comedy full of corny jokes, both verbally and visually.

Much better than its less successful predecessor Baisers Volés.

Not only was the trumpet/drum joke a joke, the 'allo allo / moshi moshi' joke was also hilariously lame. You can wake me up for this.

Wonderful comedy by an undoubtedly very playful Truffaut. Definitely one of the better ones from this series of Antoine Doinel memoirs. The typical French working-class atmosphere in the courtyard, the striking sketch of the early marriage, the original finds (the flowers...), the allusions to situations and the film world (Mr Hulot,...), the smooth dialogues and, above all, the charming , skittish acting by Jean-Pierre Léaud are presented very funny.

Enjoyable and substantive.

Frisky and very funny sequel to the Doinel series, which finds its comic highlight in the surprising cameo of Monsieur Hulot (Jacques Tati). Film is filled with fun dialogues and witty scenes, especially the contacts with local residents.
