Can largely agree with Joolstein.

The positives are the practical effects and the design of the creatures, unfortunately the negatives greatly overshadow the positives.

And these are the often cringingly written dialogues, the sometimes feminist woke storyline in which a number of male characters are stupid and/or cowardly to the point of idiotic, and the strange interaction between characters that feel very artificial but are intended to force the story in a certain direction. to push .

What a missed opportunity because this could have been quite something if it had been in the hands of skilled writers.

The American television cable channel SyFy makes a remarkable attempt to revive an old series and adheres fairly well to the respected traditions. Here too you can count on practical effects as well as silly, but sometimes comical conceptual ideas. What you can also count on are cast members who have probably not taken more than a single acting lesson in their lives, with a very boring leading role by Tashiana Washington as the initiator. Dee Wallace returns in the most absurd and unnecessary way possible, which gives the impression that she was only added to the production later when all filming was more or less complete. The Krites are a bit more fun compared to the previous part and the horror looks a bit less silly, but ultimately the whole thing cannot take over the pleasant, humorous features of the first two parts. By the way, it's nice that the horror now makes a more divisive impression, instead of yet another unnecessarily long introduction.
