Came across when googling, because I saw a Critters from 2019 and wanted to see original first. Little furry mutts...so cute, later a bit bigger 
Well if you're watching such films for the first time, this is all a bit outdated of course. This movie is not good as science fiction and not as comedy, really the kind of movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon fzo. It's in the same vein as gremlins, although I liked it better. Oh well don't be too strict in my final judgment and try to judge it in its era. Critters Attack's score is even lower than this one, so not really worth it.

I honestly had never heard of this movie before, but after seeing it I can't help but agree with many posts above me: the movie is very reminiscent of Gremlins, but feels cheaper and much less funny. Other than that, it's all by the book: someone has to die because of horniness (in this case the daughter's boyfriend), but in the end the whole family survives. Little surprising and in combination with the lack of humor and the cheap visuals I end up with 1*.
