Boerboel de Wet plot

Septimus Ignatius 'Boerboel' de Wet, a private detective, rescues a connoisseur of ancient artifacts and is richly rewarded by the owner of a large jewelry store, Mrs. Weissman. This allows him to move into a new office and investigate some new cases. Marie Pieterse, the daughter of the antiques connoisseur he rescued, asks him to investigate the disappearance of a precious statuette from the provincial museum and, at the same time, the theft of jewels from Mrs Weissman's shop window. Boerboel's research brings him into contact with various people, including an Egyptian professor who has something to do with the theft of the statuette and the jewels. But Boerboel only finds out when it's actually too late...
