It's not easy for Shirin to be part of the perfect Persian family. She is not accepted from any side. Her family doesn't know she's bisexual and her ex-girlfriend Maxine can't understand why she doesn't tell them this. Even the six-year-old boys in her film class have too much ADD to focus on her for more than a second. When her family announces that Shirin's brother has been married off to an Iranian beauty, Shirin begins to rebel through pansexual escapades, among other things, as she tries to figure out where Maxine went wrong.
