Wil is an ambitious Chinese-American young lady who lives in two different worlds. On the one hand she is a talented medical student and lesbian and on the other hand she is stuck with her family and old values and norms. Her widowed mother, in particular, is constantly close to her and also arranges dates with men for her. When mother also has to move in with Wil due to circumstances, something will have to happen anyway.
