All the World to Nothing plot

The bachelor Richard Chester has gambled all his money on playing cards. He invades the apartment of Nora Ellis, who has learned that she will inherit a fortune on the condition that she marries first. Richard marries her under the name Chester Dick and then runs off. Nora's suitor Charles Renalls is unaware of her marriage of convenience and believes the only obstacle is her enormous fortune. He therefore devises a plan to ruin her.
