The amiable bank manager McLaughlin has spent a lifetime trading in shares and securities. But the real professional dream of the friendly busty man with a natural wit and verbal humor is acting, which he finally wants to realize after a long life in the banking world. So McLaughlin secretly takes a job at a small theater to get his wish, which leads to countless comedic entanglements, but also to the laurel wreath that the true mime artist deserves.
