Absurd Person Singular plot

Three married couples, who are friends, each host a Christmas party over the course of three years. The first takes place at the suburban home of Sidney and Jane Hopcroft, where social pretensions and minor missteps expose the couples' ambitions and frustrations. A year later, they celebrate Christmas at Geoffrey and Eva Jackson's apartment. Now there are personal and financial tensions, including Eva's suicide attempts. Another year later, at the home of Ronald and Marion Brewster-Wright, it is the Hopcrofts who are dominant and manipulate the others in a dark power game.
