Tortured for Christ plot
The life of the Romanian Lutheran pastor Richard Wurmbrand (1909-2001) and his wife Sabina Oster. After the Soviet invasion in August 1944, Christian gatherings were banned, but the Wurmbrandts continued to hold underground church services. In 1948, Richard Wurmbrand is arrested by the secret police and spends fourteen years in captivity, where he is severely tortured. Sabina works in a penal camp for three years.
