This film tells the true story of American 'Shock Jock' Howard Stern, who rises from a small radio station to become America's popular DJ. This route is not so easy, as his employer is not always happy with the things Stern does in his shows. His relationship with his wife also comes under pressure when he starts making jokes about his private life.

Okay, the guy is very funny and that's what makes this movie very funny. But all those relational things around it, and the way he puts himself on a pedestal because of his total flawlessness, I find quite annoying. It would have been really fun if Howard Stern had remained a little unknown DJ and totally poked fun at himself with a movie like this. But judging by the stories, he is also the great DJ who arranges such a full square and has AC/DC show up. And that makes it a self-centered film that I have quite a bit of trouble with. 2 stars.

Good film about a disc jockey who slowly rises to become the most popular DJ in the early 80s. A great biopic about Howard Stern playing himself here. A fun story with plenty to laugh about. It could have been a little sharper at times, but it's entertaining nonetheless. Also a nice soundtrack.
