Good entertaining movie. In the past, humanity clearly thought differently about certain things, but life was also organized differently. The man was the breadwinner and the woman took care of the household. That has become almost impossible nowadays. Life is relatively much more expensive, but especially real estate has become much more expensive compared to what someone earns. Nowadays many women are also making careers and why not. Over time, people's ideas change.
Anyway, the movie is about Mrs. Ginsburg who plays an important role in the struggle for female equality. Felicity Jones does that very well with a beautiful closing speech. The film may lack a little too much laughter and tears, but perhaps this way of filming is the most sincere. Interesting to have seen.

Foreign. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is known as one of the most prominent women's rights advocates. Already in the first minutes of 'On the basis of sex' – the intro actually captures the Disney atmosphere of the film completely – however, her character is portrayed as girlish, insecure, overwhelmed, in short, a clumsy go-getter . Isn't that exactly the prevailing cliché about smart girls fighting the often invisible limitations of a man's world? In short, isn't Ginsburg portrayed here as a picture, as the attractive doll she has been fighting against for life?
Gradually, Felicity Jones wakes up from her cardboard stereotype, and Armie Hammer proves once again what a great actor he is. Mimi Leder's direction, on the other hand, is unbearably sugary, although the story itself remains interesting to follow. I have a suspicion that 'RBG' is recommended over the stale-tasting Hollywood sauce of 'On the basis of sex'. Brush your teeth, boys & girls!

The story is worth a 10 but the direction is a good B-movie as so often... Undoing simple discrimination against women was a great job. Here's the start..... Highly recommended, but don't expect a cinematographic tour de force....especially at the end it's quite embarrassing how simple discriminating people treat others... Almost unreal for a lawsuit .... wonder how it went exactly. I couldn't find a date either. Maybe not looking closely.
