The Year without a Santa Claus plot
Mrs Claus tells about the time Santa Claus didn't like it anymore, and took a holiday for Christmas. The elves Jingle Bells and Jangle Bells then decided to show Santa that Christmas meant a lot to everyone.

This is my last Christmas movie of 2011/2012.
Better than Rudolp, the Red-Nosed Reind... which I saw yesterday, but still a bit boring. Has some nice moments here and there, for example when they are in the city, but for the rest the film does nothing for me.

Little magic.
Nice setup and so on, but in my opinion worked out with little magic. Some moments continue to connect wonderfully with the Christmas atmosphere, but otherwise I did not find this the most special children's Christmas film. I also very much doubt whether this film will ever be on TV.
Animation is very dated, but there are still some nice things done with those dolls. Still, you can't get around the fact that it often leaves a somewhat simplistic impression. Facial expressions that don't change and generally poor stop-motion don't immediately make for the best impression.
Voice acting is pretty decent. The songs aren't sung very cleanly but I found a single number where Santa Claus sings to a boy who thinks he's too old to believe in himself very magical. That was actually the only moment I found really seriously catchy.
Little magic if you ask me. Mediocre humor and little progress with the plot. For children it could still be fun, although I think even they will drop out here. Nice to have seen once, and then you can continue with your day.
