Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes who try to stop a despicable alien, Chairman Drek, from destroying every planet in the Solana galaxy. The two encounter a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets. They must team up with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers to save the galaxy.

In any case, an animated film that deviates somewhat from the all too traditional that seems to belong to this genre. Occasionally quite violent, high tempo, little emotion and sentiment.... Not a work that you should watch with the whole family because there will be quite a few family members who don't like it. I myself found it quite doable. No high flyer, simple story and sometimes childish puns (note the names of the villains), sometimes a bit messy, but in its entirety it is again something pleasantly different. Moreover, I have never seen the villains Stallone and Giamatti as good as in this animation in recent times

Film adaptation of the popular Sony third-person shooter that first appeared in 2002. Ratchet [James Arnold Taylor] participates in a program with which he hopes to be chosen by Captain Quark [Jim Ward] as the newest member of The Galaxy Rangers. Although Quark immediately rejects him, Ratchet gets a chance when it turns out that the evil Drek [Paul Giamatti] is trying to take over power with his Warbots together with Dr. Nefarious [Armin Shimerman]. Ratchet gets help from an unexpected corner from a rejected Warbot that he calls Clank [David Kaye]. The story is superficial and the characters are a bit too emphatically "based on" Sonic The Hedgehog, C3PO and Buzz Lightyear, among others. Younger viewers will not care much about that, parents would be better off doing something more fun (and useful) in the meantime. There are small voice roles for Sylvester Stallone, John Goodman and Rosario Dawson, among others.
