Just like the 1st part entertaining. Visually impressive at times. Beautiful that little world, the roar through the clouds, the mountains, the water. Very nice. I keep having a bit of trouble with Baruchel's voice, I don't think it really fits in this world with these characters. Sometimes quite distracting. Not much else to say about this print. The makers stay neatly within the lines in terms of story - nowhere is it special, but also nowhere does it impress. at 1080p. + thick DTS, this is just relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. So mission accomplished. Had a great time.

It's nice that the characters have gotten older. You don't see that a lot with animation film type Pixar, Dreamworks or Disney. Hiccup's voice remains a nag unfortunately. The film has become more action-packed, but I still have the feeling that the dragons get a little less attention. All their threat is gone and Hiccup doesn't really have a good opponent (besides Toothless). Less of a story, but it's still okay. Animation and humor are more of the same, but it is aimed more at children than in the first part. The movie is still fine.

The harmony between the Vikings and dragons is jeopardized when dragon hunter Drago [Djimon Hounsou] uses the unique abilities of a giant dragon to control all dragons. He then uses that dragon army to destroy his enemies. Toothless is the leader of the peace-loving dragons, but can Hiccup [Jay Baruchel[] prevent his dragon friend from succumbing to Drago's influence and turning against him? Surprisingly good sequel successfully introduces a number of new characters and takes advantage of the improvements made to animation in the intervening years, especially in some spectacular action sequences. Again, this is an adult film for children, but the voice performances are a bit flat compared to the original, making it a little less immersive.
