Ernest et Célestine plot

"Bonnie and Clyde, Sid and Nancy..."

Ernest, a big bear who has a cold and is hungry, searches the garbage for some food. Just as he is about to put something in his mouth, he hears someone yell: "Stop!" The little mouse he wants to eat says, "If you don't eat me I'll give you all you want." This is when the mouse Célestine, trying to save her own skin, turns Ernest's life upside down. Out of this unfortunate encounter grows a friendship between the world of the bear (the upper world) and that of the mouse (the underworld). In the end, Ernest and Célestine will overcome all prejudice.

Watched this animated movie and thought it was a great movie. The drawing style is striking, but beautiful, it comes exactly like a picture book.

The story wasn't bad either. The playing time was also good, not too long and not too short. Highly recommended for the whole family.

Fine! Fine! Very nice animation film about the friendship between a bear and a mouse. Two animal friends who are opposites in the animation film and are therefore natural enemies. Prejudice and discrimination rear their heads and this also contains a considerable morale.

Technically an animation film that I like with its soft pastel colors and beautiful drawing style of characters and houses in the city. Beautiful also that world below and above the ground where both groups live separately from each other, but are still connected.

The beautiful subdued music and voices complete it completely. Suitable for the youngest among us, but also recommended for adults.

Charming indeed, but the plot didn't really captivate me. Certainly the middle part drags a bit, despite the short length. Beautiful drawing style that is immediately reminiscent of picture books and although that style usually fits better with picture books than a long feature film, the style works wonderfully here. Nice voice work, although a bit too subdued at times. Film does little wrong and is very cute, but simply did not manage to interest me for the full duration. 3.0*.
