Potop plot

"Compassion blooms in a sea of human wretchedness and malice."

The film is set in the 17th century, during the Polish-Swedish war. It revolves around the stormy love between Andrzej Kmicic and his dream wife Oleäka. However, the war throws a spanner in the works and he therefore decides to make an alliance with the dastardly Hetman Radziwill. What he doesn't know is that this is where his problems begin. When Radziwill unknowingly helps the Swedes and is convicted of treason, Kmicic is also seen as a traitor. He has to do everything he can to get a good name again with many Poles, but mainly with Oleäka.
