Melinda Monroe answers an ad to apply as a nurse in the remote California town of Virgin River. She thinks this is the perfect place to start over and leave her painful memories behind. But she soon discovers that life in a small town isn't as easy as she expected and that she must first learn to come to terms with herself before she can truly make Virgin River her home.
