“This could be a horrible trap.”
This second part is another strong adventure film. I always enjoy these kinds of movies. National Treasure: Book of Secrets has fast pace, action, an entertaining story, humor, fun actors and beautiful locations. Just the way I like to see these kind of movies. Cage, Bartha, Kruger and Voight play well together, and Mirren and Harris adapt effortlessly. Top entertainment.

Mediocre.
A tad better than the first part, although the difference is minimal. The cast is largely the same - Nicolas Cage may still be Indiana Jones, Diane Kruger is still his faded love interest, and guys like Jon Voight just hang out after it. Ed Harris is a boring villain, but I don't think the villains in this movie series are particularly important. They don't really do more than a little chasing. These movies are mostly Cage who goes from one clue to another with ease. He does not encounter much opposition. So they are not exciting movies.
