Aayirathil Oruvan plot
In 1279, the downfall of the Chola dynasty appears imminent as the Pandyas drive the Cholas out of their kingdom in southern India. In order to escape and save his successor's life, the emperor sends his son along with the population to a secret location. On their flight, the Cholas take with them an idol worshiped by the Pandyas. However, the Pandayas cannot find the fugitives and their idol.
