Yes, I didn't want all of those mythical figures in esoteric dimensions with their boring nonsense about war and kingdoms and interdimensional teleporting. Yawn. Not only is Asgard a series of kitschy CGI environments, the characters are all boring and their mutual conflicts have never captivated me. Their costumes are ugly, Thor's hammer looks like cheap, plastic Intertoys junk, and some of the special effects were done even better in the '80s.
The moment Thor is exiled to Earth and is mistaken there for a psychiatric patient gave the occasional opportunity for funny scenes, but there could have been a lot more to it.

It's strange that such a star cast lends itself to such a shitty film. Stellan Skarsgard, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman just look like an asshole with such a bad crap script. Anyway, in the context of watching all the MCU movies, this was a must. You will only have paid for a cinema ticket. I will never get those two hours of my life back, but I saved at least 12 euros.
