The Enforcer plot
"The dirtiest Harry of them all."
Detective Harry Callahan, newly rehabilitated in the Homicide Division after being reprimanded for using unorthodox methods in a robbery case, finds himself forced to work with Agent Kate Moore. A number of murders are linked to a terrorist gang led by Bobby Maxwell. They receive via a tape recording a demand from an organization 'The Peoples Revolutionary Strike Force' to pay 1 million dollars to preserve the total destruction of the city. Callahan agrees with Big Ed Mustapha, leader of a group of militant blacks, that the latter will inquire about Maxwell.

The Clint & Tyne combination does work somehow, but at the same time I have the feeling that he has been given a female partner to be a bit more politically correct (the makers of the film, in the film itself it is very clear that this is the case). The one-liners are still there and a few action scenes are convincing, but all in all (especially because of the stupid hippie villains) I don't think the film is as strong as its predecessor Magnum Force.
This does not alter the fact that Clint shows his best side again and the film is otherwise just a very entertaining action thriller.

This one is a lot less than the previous 2 Dirty Harry movies. The story is really weak and in this film it is more about political correctness and the emancipation of women is too thick. This doesn't really belong in this kind of movie imo. So it's mainly about Dirty Harry's female partner in this film, while the crime (which the film should be about) barely gets any effect and doesn't interest you at all. The two good jokes Dirty Harry makes made me laugh, but otherwise this film has little to offer. While I was still quite impressed with the story in the second film, this is a huge step backwards.

The least of the Dirty Harry movies. Too much focus on the humor, with the female colleague assigned to him, and one-liners that sound more forced than ever. While the two previous films were action-packed thrillers, this is a sluggish film that never really gets going and isn't exciting at all. Let's mention Albert Popwell as Mustafa, who appears in all Dirty Harry films except for The Dead Pool. Enforcer could mean the end of the series, but Sudden Impact got better. Small 3*
