Richard III plot

"Now is the winter of our discontent..." With these words, Duke Richard sets his murderous plans in motion. His goal: to eliminate the rival Lancaster dynasty and rule as the undisputed king. Between him and the throne are his brothers Clarence and King Edward, his princely cousins, bitter adversary Queen Elizabeth and a host of enemies, rivals and dubious allies. In the Los Angeles of "Shakespeare's Richard III" violence is the norm: every member of the nobility must kill or be killed according to the code duel lo. Aided by his sinister adviser Buckingham, Richard will let nothing stop him. Temptation, bribery, conspiracy and mass slaughter follow until only one adversary remains: his arch-rival Lord Richmond.
