Well, nice atmosphere, that's for sure. But the story didn't have much to it and was very predictable I immediately realized that Carla was the girl from the beginning.
Anyway, with the visual style they wanted to make things a little more interesting than it was. But the style and acting were quite okay. There could have been some supernatural elements in it.

I give it a three, because it's not worth an insensitive one to me.

Did you notice that near the end a psalm was quoted that sounded suspiciously similar to Ezekiel 25:17? At least Jules Winnfield's version from "Pulp Fiction," of course?

French director Hervé Renoh provides the viewer with pure entertainment, but the kind that turns out to be quite cheesy, especially towards the finale. It can make a film and blow it away, but with Requiem it is mainly the latter. A monastery is chosen as the setting, something that I personally have not seen before within the hostage subject. Of course, you immediately score points with this, and Renoh also makes good use of it. The acting is nice, although no name stands out. Each character is provided with their own personality and that is of course a requirement within this subgenre, but on the other hand it makes the entire event a somewhat predictable whole. Towards the finale, the stops are pulled out and the film changes from a thriller event into a pure action whole. From there, Requiem has its first really silly moments, but in the end it's all quite entertaining and easy to watch.
