Entertaining movie. But unfortunately the opening in Africa lasts too long and the first hour (half) is disappointing. Fortunately, it does have some nice moments, such as with the cubs that Jackie Chan sees, but in terms of action (except for the opening) very little happens. Speeding around in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution was a welcome addition, even though it was tearing around in Africa and you could see the car speeding past through the sales gutter in Rotterdam. Somewhat strange, but yes. Especially when Jackie arrives in Rotterdam, the film turns more and it becomes more of a Jackie Chan film. Good action scenes with the necessary humor but also the characteristic stunts. It is therefore a pity that the first part is quite mediocre, because the second part is good.

Film is sometimes mainly a time capsule to project your own memories on. "Who Am I?" (1998) is a kind of Bassie and Adriaan with martial arts, but it has charm for me because it brings the Netherlands/Rotterdam from the late nineties to life. As a lure for tourists from Hong Kong, so it looks wonderfully picturesque and pays a lot of attention to beautiful architecture. Have a nice nostalgia trip. The final fight is without a doubt one of the best mating matches in Jackie Chan's career, and let it have a Rotterdam touch. Sometimes you have to see through the lame non-humor and the idiotic plot. For example, the big issue in the title is irrelevant to the course of the story.

"If you are a missing person, what are you doing here?"

One of Jackie Chan's lesser films. An up and down story with (Dutch) B-movie actors who speak even worse English than Chan herself. The humor, especially with those two annoying girls, is rather childish. The blond bad guy with the big scar on his face looks like a character from a comic book. And we are in Holland, so there must be some wooden clogs to be seen! Also very overly dramatic when Chan exclaims, "Who am I?", as if we're suddenly watching some deep drama. Some nice scenes though, like Jackie Chan fighting in handcuffs, the Mitsubishi Lancer riding on its side and of course Chan walking down the steep building.
