Solid prison film with Sly himself. Frank Leone has only a moment to grumble but is unexpectedly transferred to another prison for serious criminals where the warden still has a bone to pick with him. You get a lot of action and bullying, and I think that's great in prison movies. The last half hour is a lot of fun. Not a movie where you have to rack your brain in any case. A person can also just have fun with a hard action movie.

Oldie who had never actually seen it, at least I suspect so. After all, Stallone has been in jail in more movies, recently and less recently.

The film starts quite abruptly after a trial leave that is rewarded with a transfer upon return. The how and why is unclear, and familiar with the synopsis I thought it was just a strange start until the director reveals himself and gives the simple explanation about something from the past. Revenge! Nothing more and less.

Nice is the image of the sympathetic-looking Stallone who quietly wants to sit out his time and then start a new life. Something that is not granted to him by the vengeful director. The atmosphere and humor surrounding the car restoration is also nice, Sonny Landman stands out as an impressive figure and Stallone is once not dependent on his muscles but on cleverness.

Lock Up's biggest problem is the exaggerated image of sadistic guards versus a group of prisoners who have to arouse sympathy. In addition, the high testosterone muscle Alpha males content is astronomical. Sizemore is actually downright annoying and the denouement with confession on 'the chair'....yes....

Lock Up has entertaining moments and is certainly not very annoying to watch, but it is not quality and it is not to be taken seriously. No, sorry. This could have been more.

good Stallone without exaggerating too much like Rambo but an ordinary person

nice good action just a good movie the old rascal from the old box who of course has been around for a while and has already played several films is also in this roll as the corrupt director he plays his roll well only i miss the part before he returns to the ended up in prison that he escapes the first time because it seems a bit confused and does not understand why he is suddenly taken to another prison. but i still think the movie is worth it
