Movie stuntman Bill Cummings is injured on the job and Dave Wilson, who lives near the filming location, takes his place. Ex-stuntman 'Risky' Russell is impressed by Wilson's performance and introduces him to Hollywood. Wilson becomes a sought-after stuntman and marries Russell's daughter Marion. After being injured, he vows to give up stunt work. He advises Cummings to put on a dangerous, but well-paying, gig, and Cummings is killed in the process.
