Nice viewer indeed. However, I will honestly confess that I downloaded it and discovered gaps based on what I discovered on YT. For example, in that downloaded version Sarah with her shotgun does not appear and that blue Chrevrolet Caprice. But I find those 3 times that red box very annoying.

Reminds me a lot of On Deadly Ground, which I still think is a very nice film. Steven is approaching his sell-by date here, but is perhaps putting on one of his best roles. Not as a martial artist, but as an actor. I found it remarkably pleasant to look at his fresh appearance, and not just him. The warm images of a nice (somewhat clumsy) American village in the middle of nowhere. There is a nice village atmosphere that tastes even better because of this (fake) winter. It's not exactly about the action, but there's a nice nod to drama. The acting is so good and that is why there are several reasons why this film is quite successful. Unfortunately, many people only look at the casting and give their judgment by the person at the top.
The environmental speech is fortunately on the short side (hello On Deadly Ground). Fire Down Below is actually a film that should be able to attract a wide audience. There is action, there is a lot of room for drama and character building. There is indeed a story. Too bad many people don't like this combination. Shame!

A Seagal doesn't automatically lead to Oscar material, but it doesn't always have to. This Fire down below is quite entertaining and has even become one of the more digestible Seagal's. It's still fun to see bad guys go crazy with Stevie's martial arts.
The plot is quite interesting about illegal dumping of radioactive materials. It provides beautiful nature pictures here and there. Nice to see Harry Dean Stanton playing a somewhat strange and confused character. Seagal is and remains wooden with his mouth, but sublime with his fists. At times a bit over the top at the idea that it appears to be extremely difficult to eliminate one man. Just blow it up or something? I also just thought about that one scene with the light fuse.
Otherwise a great action movie to think about. So the story is still quite pleasant to follow and the drama is also present. The end beyond the environmental department was a bit quick and simple. Not at all, but certainly solid.
