During one of their missions, however, things go wrong; Amy is held hostage by jewel thief Lucy Diamond. While the other DEBS think Amy is in danger and hatch a rescue plan, Amy falls head over heels in love with her former enemy Lucy. Will Amy say goodbye to the DEBS to face the horizon with Lucy? Or will she pass up the love of her life because of her calling to rid the world of bad guys?

3.5 seems incredibly high for this brainless video.

Admittedly, at times he is sooo lame that he becomes funny (and consequently I’m cracking up too ) and the so-called 'action' is as fake as can be. Still, he looks away quickly and I’m left with a good feeling about it.

I have to admit that I have a soft spot for Jordana Brewster, but I don't think I'm the only one. Plus, it's a breath of fresh air to see a lesbian movie with a happy ending for a change, since most of them tend to end dramatically.

I think the makers didn't take the film seriously themselves either, so I certainly won't

Okay, it's a high score. It must be my guilty pleasure...

DEBS was one of those films that kept on captivating, so it was time to watch it again. I see comparisons to Charlie's Angels coming up a lot here, but those films just aren't fun and lack the necessary style. This DEBS takes a somewhat cartoonish approach and dares to overdo it at the right moments. Hard to explain, but it felt like Charlie's Angels meets Glee meets Spy Kids. But with the right elements.

DEBS was finally a comedy that made me laugh again. It seems like a childish film, but it does contain elements (think of the lesbian relationship, the characters who smoke, a few swear words...) that would make the average American film pale in comparison. It is all taken quite lightly, but nowhere are there truly annoying characters to be seen, which many comedies threaten to drown in.

Lovely people, beautifully made cinematically, well-timed humor, and a nice, cozy story without any pretension. The film does what it is supposed to do, and that is simply wonderfully entertaining. Many will shoot this one down, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oh.

A sort of Charlie Angels clone with less action and less editing. It is just that I didn't actually think those films were great to begin with that the prior expectations for this film weren't any more hopeful. DEBS is actually a sort of forgotten clone of the aforementioned example, but nonetheless on the same level.

Albeit with a somewhat smaller budget, which led Robinson to shift the focus towards a more romantic plot. The spy element remains prominent, but it is clear that the ladies themselves are in the spotlight. So where exactly does the problem lie? With the ladies, of course, because not a single one manages to remain memorable.

I couldn't recall a single name after the film ended, at least, but the running time isn't too long and the pace is reasonably brisk. Consequently, it isn't a tiring film to get through, though it is one that rambles on for too long without really saying anything sensible. A few short action sequences are entertaining, but otherwise, you’ll have forgotten a film like this within minutes.
