“You are next!”

Nice. Bloodsport is one of Jean-Claude Van Damme's best films, mainly because of the straight forward story and the excellent fight scenes. Sometimes it doesn't look like much, but in this movie the fight choreography is excellent. And the story has no unnecessary subplots or superfluous characters. Just good fighting, with excellent supporting roles from Gibb, Ayres, Chiao, Whitaker and of course Bolo Yeung as Chong Li in addition to Van Damme.

Those who think this really happened will be disappointed.

That Frank Dux is not only a pathological liar, but also a fake martial artist. This man suffers from madness.

Bit painful for the makers this.

Nevertheless, this is a very entertaining film with all those one-liners such as: dim mak, 'deaf touch' and ''Okay USA' .

Youth sentiment this.

Pure nostalgia from my childhood this Bloodsport with an excellent Van Damme. Such an ideal film that ran parallel to arcade games such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. As a film it is not all that much, but the fight scenes remain great. Nice diverse characters, a lovely bad guy, a wacko friend and also some variety with the bricks. The whole atmosphere of the tournament is just a success.

It was also one of my first encounters with the striking figure of Forest Whitaker. Funny role in which the cat always had to give up against the mouse. The flashbacks are a bit cliché, but offer a nice change from the whole. However, with Van Dammes yelling and babbling when he was blind, I still have a hard time, although funny is more appropriate. For the rest, great entertainment.
