Avenging Force plot
In the swamps of Louisiana hides a sinister group of right-wing terrorists known as Pentangle. The purpose of this group is to eliminate political opponents, such as Senate candidate Larry Richards. An attempt on him is just about to be foiled, but Larry's son is killed. The former CIA agent then enlists the help of his old comrade Matt Hunter and forms The Avenging Force with him, which must bravely confront their opponents.

Good film about an attack on a senate candidate by a right-wing group. A thin story, but that doesn't matter much. It's all about the action, and there's nothing wrong with that here. A good portion of violence, more than enough good action scenes with excellent use of locations. A narrow 3.5 stars for this nice 80s action film.

Remarkably good for a Cannon film. It ranks among the best together with Revenge of the Ninja and Death Wish 3. Of course, there is some criticism of the acting quality, but that is something that matters little to me in an action film. A (black) candidate for mayor is threatened by an extreme right-wing terrorist group, Pentangle; his old buddy Matt Hunter, an ex "special forces", comes to his aid. Muscle man Steve James is of course very unbelievable as a politician when you see him walking around in his tight marcelleke 
The bad guy is great, and his terrorist group also shoots children, which gives the film a controversial sauce. The finale takes place in the swamps of Louisiana and there too there is no lack of atmosphere, such as the moment when Hunter arrives at a Zydeco party. A film that is worth checking out. By the way, this was a considerable VHS video store hit.

Avenging Force, also known as ''Night Hunter'' as I have it on Blu-ray, a German edition with English subtitles and speech!
This edition has a very good image and I am happy that I now have it in my collection!
The film is an entertaining 80's action/adventure film, especially in the opening scene we see a beautiful scene in the swamp, then the film starts and we quickly see Dudikoff appear and we also see ''Larry'' aka Steve James who we also saw in the ''American Ninja'' films with Dudikoff.
Very nice roles of these 2 and also a number of surprises in the film, even children are not spared in terms of deaths, many fights and shootings on the roofs in the city and the last part again in a village in the swamp with the 5 gang leaders (who we also saw in the beginning)
But if you think it's over then you're wrong, because we see a good final part (sword fight) with the final boss!
All in all very enjoyable! On to the next Dudikoff films!
