Ambushed plot

"When a Klan leader is murdered, it lights the fuse to a race explosion. Now the only man who can put it out is the one everyone suspects."

Jerry Robinson is a police officer who must fight for his life when he must solve the murder of a leader of the Ku Klux Klan in a southern town. Without much success, he tries to adapt to the 'boys together' atmosphere that prevails within the local police force. It soon becomes clear that his research is being sabotaged by lies and deceit.
