The 10 BEST George Clooney movies of all time

George Clooney is one of the biggest movie stars of all time.

He originally hit major fame on television series E.R. before transitioning to movies to huge success.

Yes, it wasn't always smooth sailing, as one of his big breaks was when he was cast as Bruce Wayne in Batman and Robin. It was a critical disaster and is recognised as one of the worst movies in history.

Thankfully for George, his charm and talent would shake off the baggage of that superhero movie.

He is the recipient of two Academy Awards - one for Best Supporting Actor in Syriana and one as a producer on Argo. Clooney is one of four people to have been nominated for Academy Awards in six different categories, an honour he shares with Walt Disney, Alfonso Cuaron, and Kenneth Branagh.

It is perhaps no surprise to see that Ocean's 11 is George's most popular movie on MovieMeter, with a score of 3.67. His role as Danny Ocean in that franchise is the character he is undoubtedly most famous for, though Ocean's 12 and Ocean's 13 don't make our top 10.

In second is a movie that catalysed a long working relationship with the Coen Brothers, O Brother, Where Art Though?

He has a small but significant role as Charles Bosche in The Thin Red Line. Rounding out the top five are Fantastic Mr. Fox and Gravity, with the latter being his most commercially successful movie.
