There aren't many movie franchises that match the cultural impact of Harry Potter.

Based on the series of novels by J.K. Rowling, eight movies have been produced - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Not only did the franchise receive acclaim from most critics and fans, but it is one of the most profitable franchises of all time, too, with box office takings of $7.7 billion.

The franchise has continued with the spin-off Fantastic Beasts movies, though they are nowhere near as critically or commercially successful.

A new television series based on the books is being developed by HBO, but for many Potter fans, nothing will compare to the right beloved movies made so far.

But, how do they rank?

Western people do not like to be confronted with their own mortality. People prefer to focus on the now and keep the sad, inevitable moment when life is over as long as possible at a distance. This is in contrast to the East, where especially among Muslims death is embraced as the joyful beginning of a new life. At least once a week, residents of Tehran visit the Behesht Zahra, the city's largest cemetery. Here, away from the hustle and bustle, one comes to rest in the presence of death. 'A Brief Peace' shows how in Iran death and life, laughter and cry, and sadness and joy are linked.
