Himmelskibet plot

Navy captain Avanti Planetaros, influenced by his father who is an astronomer, decides to travel through space to discover other worlds. He becomes an astronaut and together with the young scientist Dr. Krafft a spaceship. Despite opposition from the sour Professor Dubius, they assemble a team of heroic men and take off into space. After a long and troubled journey, Planetaros reaches Mars. Here he discovers that the planet is populated by beings who have a higher development than humans.
