"Somebody told the black man he wasn't a slave anymore. Somebody told the red man this land was his. Somebody lied. Somebody is going to pay."
Black deserter Ben Lincoln has deserted from the US military in the Mexican desert. Here he runs into a crippled half-blood Indian. The two befriend and take up residence in a dilapidated church. Here two coachmen get into a fight with Ben, who sees no other way out than to kill them. When Ben is captured by a bounty hunter, there is a violent clash.
