Meh.

What a horrible, soulless collection of cliches this is. Just as trite as the play that must be staged if necessary. Predictable from start to finish. With an appropriately lousy soundtrack, carefully played it safe and therefore as saltless as can be.

Some more unfunny actors - Martin Short, Sisqo - to finish it off just as carefully. Then Kirsten Dunst with her Mona Lisa smile no longer saves.

A very standard high school story. There are some entertaining scenes here and there and you don't get to see Dunst and Kunis in bikini every day (even in the same scene). Other than that, however, this teenage romcom has little to offer. All those scenes around the musical didn't really interest me and the acting wasn't fantastic everywhere either.

A film that, partly due to the short running time, is still quite good to sit out, but I can't call this a good film.

“For the first time in my life, I was in love. And I knew it would last forever... Boy was I a dumb ass.”

Decent teen movie. The story is not much, but the direction is smooth and there are some talented actors and actresses in it. And the humor is quite successful, especially Martin Short who has some nice moments. And the interplay between Foster and Dunst makes for some nice scenes. The whole theater scene at the end is also hilarious. It's so horribly bad it becomes fun.
