Black Butterflies plot
The wealthy Dorinda Maxwell, who despises married life, joins a group of hedonists called the 'Black Butterflies'. With scandal looming, Dorinda singles out David Goddard, a young office worker who can barely make ends meet, to marry her for $5,000 a year. After the wedding, Goddard struggles with his position and he and Dorinda argue constantly when the two of them are together. However, David's attempts to keep Dorinda away from her companions fail. Dorinda is responsible for a car accident that leaves David temporarily blind and the other passengers seriously injured.
