Mask of the Avenger plot
"Monte Cristo lives... fights... loves again!"
The corrupt military governor of Casamare, Viovanni Larocca, loots his city's art collection and then deposits the money in a Swiss account. He goes to Count Dimorna's castle, who confronts Larocca with evidence of his theft. Larocca shoots the count in cold blood and puts the gun in his hand, then tells others that he was working with the Austrians and killed himself when his 'treason' was discovered.
