Ladies of the Big House plot
"Before their first kiss as bride and groom...torn from each other's arms! Framed-Accused!"
On their way home on their wedding day, Katleen and Standish McNeil are followed by wanted murderer Kid Athens and police officer Martin French, who plans to pick up Kathleen to be a witness. Athens kills French and places a weapon next to the body with the inscription "with love". As a result, Kathleen (once an Athens informant) and Standish are identified as the killers. District Attorney John Hartman, who performs services for Athens, manipulates the jury and Standish is sentenced to death, while Kathleen is sent to the women's prison.
