Corrupt banker Masters learns from rancher Jeff Sloane that he and his partner Sourdough have discovered a gold mine. Masters has his henchmen kill Sourdough and they capture Sloane to force him to reveal the location of the gold mine. Masters also tries to frame Smoky Moore for the murder of Sourdough.
